What is the difference between vintage and retro?
When I use the term vintage, this means any item (clothing, vinyl, housewares, etc.) that is 25 years or older. So typically, this would be pieces from the mid 1990s or earlier. If something is 100 years or older, that would be termed an antique. Retro is generally a newer piece (less than 25 years old) that has a vintage feel or style to it. For example, a cute, hiphop-style dress from the 1980s would be vintage. A dress made last year from the same pattern or in a similar style would be retro (also called vintage-inspired or simply contemporary).
How are my items shipped?
I typically ship twice a week, more during rush or holiday seasons. Each item comes carefully packaged to help ensure safe travels. If you have any questions about shipping rates, methods, etc., please visit my Shipping & Returns page.
Can you help me track my item?
When your item ships, you should receive an email from The Retrograph with complete tracking information. If your item hasn’t shown up on the intended date, give it an extra day or two. Sometimes the Post Office takes a little longer than hoped. If it’s still missing after a few more days, I can work with you to track it down. Just drop me a line.
What if my item doesn’t fit or if it’s not quite right?
I want to make sure that you are 100% happy with everything you find at The Retrograph. If you’re not, jump over to my Shipping & Returns page for more information.
Can I pick my item up in the Orlando area?
You certainly can. If you’d like to pick up item in person, just send me a message and let me know. I will work with you to find the right time and place for pick up. I will also be happy to refund your shipping costs. In some cases, I may be able to offer no-cost delivery within a few miles of my shop for specific items.
What if I have vintage stuff I want to sell?
I seriously LOVE to buy vintage — anything from the 1990s back to the 1940s. Magazines, games, books, pop culture, ephemera and more — I would love to see what you have. Reach out to me today and I’ll be in touch ASAP.
